As the nation prepares to celebrate Labor Day some might ask does it pay not to work? When keeping and finding a good job seems to be a challenge in today's economy it might seem more enticing to some to turn to government and live on the dole.
So does it pay not to work? The answer is yes and no. The answer is yes if you want to live a life of meager existance and dependency on government assistance, and the only thing to look forward to is the 1st of the month. But the answer is no if you want to earn a living, have a purpose in life and be able to accomplish something meaningful. In all honest work there is dignity.
If you are employed be thankful even if it's not where you want to be at this time in your life. If you are unemployed don't give up there is work out there.
